Latest Edition: Celebrating Cooperation
Nowadays co-operation - the theme of next month's Autumn Conference in partnership with Deutsche Oper am Rhein - takes many forms. It is the lifeblood of arts education and what we constantly strive for in our work. We were therefore delighted to hear about the first edition of the GrowOp! Festival, a Den Jyske Opera initiative born of meetings over several RESEO conferences including productions by no less than four of our members.
And while face-to-face meetings remain essential, new technologies are bringing forth new and unexpected ways for organisations to co-operate among themselves and with their audiences - even when the latter are located on a polar station. IMZ International Music + Media Centre explain how they connect the performing arts and audiovisual media through their innovative events and academies.
Our members are as always hard at work: an "uncensored" libretto reading, a youth opera that spans decades and a young audience production inspired by a turn-of-the-century graphic novel are just some examples of how they create work and come up with new ways to share it with the widest possible audience.
In turn, we are pleased to announce that the project Get Close to Opera, in which RESEO is involved as a partner, has been awarded funding by the European Commission. More news to come! We are furthermore happy to welcome Alexandra Van Peteghem (Paris) as our new Membership Coordinator and Monica Zarna (Berlin) as Project Manager of our Spring Conference 2018.
Wishing you a happy and productive Autumn,
The RESEO team
