Dumbworld creates artistically ambitious and exciting pieces that involve working closely with significant practicing professionals as well as people of all ages, experiences and backgrounds.

Dumbworld is an artist led creative production company. Established in 2009 by composer/conductor Brian Irvine and filmmaker/writer/director John McIllduff.

Dumbworld makes work that is to be found at the intersection of music, image and words including film, opera, documentary, oratorio, animation, public art installation, performance pieces, theatre and curatorial projects.

Aims

• To expand the audiences of contemporary music, opera and art to all people in society
• To connect and educate children and young people to music, opera and art
• To inspire audiences through innovation in art with technology and creative techniques

We wish to be part of a larger European network to share knowledge and ideas in participatory and educational music & arts projects, contribute to a wider community through networking and attending events and conferences.
