RESEO “Opera for Young Audiences” Award 2018

Santiago De Compostela, Spain. 17 - 19 October 2018

The Young Audience Music Awards (YAMawards) promote and honour creativity and innovation in the field of music for young audiences. RESEO, the European Network for Opera and Dance Education, is proud to announce the fifth edition of its “Opera for Young Audiences” Award.

The RESEO prize, aiming at promoting creation in the field of opera for young audiences, seeks to give the floor to this innovative genre, supporting the creation of new work (new libretto and/or composition). Productions shall be selected on the grounds of composition, libretto, process, theme/ content, staging and innovation. Productions for all age groups (birth to young adults) are  taken into account.

Do you create inspirational new work for young audiences?

The YAMawards 2018 receive applications in the following categories:

Best Small Ensemble for Young Audiences
Best Large Ensemble for Young Audiences
Best Opera for Young Audiences

Cash prizes will be presented to the Production of the Year and Public Choice Award selected from amongst the top 4 nominees in each category.

RESEO is proud to announce the fifth edition of the Best Opera for Young Audiences Award
Last year’s winners were Finnish National Opera and Ballet with IHMEPOIKA A. This year it could be you!
Please submit your nomination by the 1st of June 2018 at 17:00 CET.
The winners will be announced at the YAMsession 2018 in Santiago de Compostela, Spain on the 17th of October.
