ROCE-03

RESEO is delighted to support the 2026 edition of the ROCE annual conference in Valladolid on 14-15 May. Entitled “Música y Salud. Los sonidos que nos cuidan” (“Music and Health, the sounds that heal us”), the event will bring together education project leaders, teachers, musicians, healthcare professionals, cultural managers and institutional representatives from across Spain and Europe to explore the potential of music practice to contribute to physical, emotional and social well-being.

Over two days, a programme will be held combining presentations, round-table discussions, experiential workshops, idea labs and concerts, offering a space to share experiences and learn about inspiring projects being developed in hospitals, educational centres and community settings.

Initiatives on accessibility and music mediation aimed at different groups will also be presented. The programme includes two workshops:

  • “How to organise more inclusive performances: Communicative Accessibility in music and the performing arts”, led by Henar Pascual, an expert in accessibility for deaf people and a consultant in universal accessibility.
  • “Sing for Health”, led by Víctor Mínguez, a technician at the Río Hortega University Hospital Laboratory in Valladolid, who is leading a pioneering study in Spain that uses music and choral practice as a tool to improve health and well-being.
