"How Do We Develop Participatory Intercultural Projects?" Training

France
Saturday, 23 June, 2018 to Sunday, 24 June, 2018

On 23-24 June 2018, RESEO and the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence invite you to a festive and participatory experience combining capacity-building, artistic creation and knowledge sharing.

Over the past few years, arts education professionals have been experimenting new ways to design their projects for and with participants and with increasingly diverse audiences in mind.

The education and socio-artistic departments of the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, Passerelles, are committed to making culture accessible to all, convinced that the future of the arts is being built today. This year they celebrate their tenth anniversary. Orfeo & Majnun, a European participatory project born of the dialogue between two founding myths of western and eastern civilisations, is enabling Passerelles and its partners to showcase 10 years’ worth of experience and local education activities while exploring new creative processes.

As part of the project, an urban parade composed of in situ art workshops, installations and performances involving over 30 partner organisations will take place on 24 June. The day before, RESEO and the Festival d’Aix-en Provence invite you to explore the development of participatory and intercultural projects in a practical workshop that echoes the playful and inclusive dimensions of this unique project.
