Cankarjev dom

Cankarjev dom is Slovenia’s leading cultural and congress centre, located in the heart of Ljubljana. It hosts a vibrant programme of performing arts, music, film and visual arts, alongside major international conferences. Renowned for its architectural elegance and excellent acoustics, it serves as a dynamic hub of creativity and cultural exchange.

Aims

Our main aims are to promote artistic excellence, support diverse cultural expression and provide a vibrant space for creativity and public dialogue. We present high-quality performing arts, music, film and visual arts programmes, while also hosting international conferences and events. We strive to foster cultural exchange, education and an inclusive environment for all audiences.

Work

In addition to its established repertoire of 30 productions, Cankarjev dom creates at least five new projects for children and young people every year. Its children’s operas, produced in collaboration with numerous co-producers, are a good example of this work.
