Op.64 – SoloCanto

Approaching Opera with Freedom

Since 2014 and a meeting between the choir and orchestra conductor Pilar Bravo and the stage director Federica Santambrogio, SoloCanto Association started to develop the “LaboratorioOpera” project with the aim of bringing children and young people closer to opera and a particular fondness for contemporary work.

Aims:

To approach opera with the freedom to choose the topics, the beauty of writing music to measure, to stage it in non-conventional venues, to enable people to fall in love with contemporary music because it is more immediate than people think, and because it is part of our contemporary world.

A flagship project

OperaLab – a 3-week opera workshop that every year involve 50/60 children aged 8 to 18, singers from different European conservatoires, professionals singers and actors.
