Opera For All

For the past 350 years, the Opéra national de Paris has presented the major works of the opera and dance repertoire to a wide audience. Transmission is part of its aims, with notably the Académie and its arts education department, which enable schoolchildren and young people to actively discover the world of opera and ballet. The Opéra stages 60 young audience performances per year for families and schoolchildren.

Aims:

The Académie’s arts education programmes work throughout each season to open the doors of the Opéra to as many people as possible. The projects offered are based on the profound conviction that transmission of our heritage and culture is one of the foundations of equal opportunities and that it is shared through the experience of artistic creation.

A flagship project:

« Dix Mois d’Ecole et d’Opéra », a programme aimed at young people attending school in sensitive urban areas.

Concert ADO, on 16 June 2024 at the Opéra Bastille

Why they are RESEO members:

To share experiences with other organisations of different size and tradition, but with similar aims.
