PARADE & the Velvet Gentleman, a production by RESEO member Ruben Zahra, was presented at the national theatre of Malta on the 27th of July 2018 and has been featured on Reuters international news agency as an ‘Editors Choice’ picture. This unique production presents a contemporary reworking of the historical ballet Parade, which premiered in Paris in 1917 by Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes, portraying the music of Erik Satie scored to a one-act scenario by Jean Cocteau with costumes and sets designed by Pablo Picasso. Prior to international touring, the production will be staged once more in Malta on the 15th of September 2018 as part of the culture calendar of Valletta 2018: European Capital of Culture.
