Last month, we were delighted to welcome over 60 delegates from around the world to Brussels for the RESEO Conference 2019 GETTING CLOSER.

Over the course of the conference, generously hosted by founding member La Monnaie / De Munt, we had the chance to explore participatory work in depth through a series of fascinating presentations, workshops, case studies and more. We will be publishing the findings from the conference very soon – watch this space!

Teatro Real

Opera and circus for the whole family! Acróbata y Arlequín, based on Picasso pictorial’s universe with music by Poulanc and Satie, is coming to Teatro Real de Madrid this November.

Jean-Marc Biskup

Jean-Marc Biskup will lead his “Apprends moi l’Opéra” (“Teach me the Opera”) education programme in Saint-Estève and Perpignan as a prelude to The Magic Flute at the Théâtre de l’Etang in February.

Opéra de Paris

This November, the Opéra national de Paris will be reprising Mirabelle Ordinaire’s Bastien et Bastienne, which was created in 2017 and takes place at a funfair.

Selfmade Music

Selfmademusic’s new company North Sea Opera exclusively presents new opera. Artemisia composed by Susannah Self and based on the life of Artemisisa Gentileschi, premières in 2020.

Staatsoper Stuttgart

“Make yourself at home”: Staatsoper Stuttgart’s new project Digging Culture combines the fun of urban gardening with deeper insight into their artistic work.

Opéra de Lyon

This season, the musicians of the Very Big Expérimental Toubifri Orchestra will be coming to the Opéra de Lyon for a participatory artistic project aimed at young audiences.

La Monnaie / De Munt

La Monnaie is soon to welcome Judith Vindevogel’s Three Strong Women. The musical draws inspiration from an ancestral Japanese tale that mischievously breaks down gender stereotypes with voice, percussions and koto.
