All the faces of music
The Cité musicale-Metz is the result of the history of the city of Metz and the Grand Est region, which have traditionally been devoted to music. A pioneering project in France, the Cité musicale-Metz brings together Metz’s three performance halls (Arsenal, Bam and Trinitaires) and the Orchestre national de Metz in an ambitious project serving artistic creation and innovation, at the crossroads of all musical aesthetics and practices, for the benefit of audiences and music lovers.
Aims:
The Cité musicale-Metz is a focal point for artists, and first and foremost for the Orchestre national de Metz and the musicians who make it up. With its exceptional halls, both in terms of their acoustic qualities and their history, it is able to welcome and introduce the greatest performers, composers and authors of our time to cultivate the curiosity and fervor of the public.
The Cité musicale-Metz is an artistic and economic challenge, a city project that offers the possibility of promoting musical projects throughout the Grand Est region, France, Europe and beyond. It is also a project for society, with the ambition of offering the greatest number of people a public service of culture marked by excellence and based on musical diversity.
Projects:
The Cité musicale-Metz is developing a social and educational project that allows young people, families, all generations, and those who are farthest away from concert halls to discover the pleasures of music through artistic education, mediation, and friendly family meetings.
